We took a catamaran trip with this company and everything was simply perfect. The boats are genuinely beautiful, well kept and very stable: despite the wind that is typical of the island, I did not feel seasick in the slightest. The biggest thank you, though, goes to the crew: fantastic, great fun and welcoming, they gave us a wonderful day. The most moving moment was without doubt sighting the small whales — a magical experience that makes you appreciate the good side of nature. One detail I really valued: the company flies the Blue Flag, which guarantees full respect for the animals and their habitat during the trips.

A four-hour sail out of Jandía Marina on a Lagoon 43: cetacean search in the open Atlantic, an anchorage off the Jandía Natural Park with snorkelling gear and paddleboards on board, and gourmet tapas from a chef of the Salvaje restaurant with an open bar of wine, beer and soft drinks. €125 per person, guests aged 12 and over only.
This is the top of the Magic & Sailing range and the boat that carries the age limit. Twelve and over means no toddlers, no pushchairs, and a deck that stays calm for the whole four hours — the operator says as much when it describes the trip as exclusive and unhurried rather than family-friendly. The boats are two Lagoon 43 catamarans, recent arrivals on the island, and they leave from Jandía Marina in Morro Jable rather than from the commercial quay.
The first half is the search. The catamaran heads out into the Atlantic for dolphins and whales in their own habitat, then turns to run the coast of the Jandía Natural Park, a stretch of cliffs and beaches that reads completely differently from the water than from the road above it.
Halfway through, the boat anchors in a bay on the south coast. This is the part that separates Magic Dreams from the operator's other trips: as well as swimming there is snorkelling with the equipment kept on board and paddle surfing for anyone who wants to be more active, with time on deck for those who do not.
The food is served at anchor and comes from one of the island's chefs, from the Salvaje restaurant: semi-cured Majorero cheeses — paprika-coated, in olive oil and smoked — then a cherry tomato salad with mozzarella pearls and basil oil, then roast beef tenderloin with potatoes confit in aromatic oil and a sherry gravy. The vegetarian version is a Mozarabic burger with Zahara-style flavoured rice. Chilled cava, white and rosé wine, beer, soft drinks and water are open across the whole four hours. Allergies need 48 hours' notice.

“I had a fantastic catamaran cruise on the Atlantic today. The crew — Luis, Alex, Franco and Juan — were simply brilliant. They looked after the whole group beautifully, made sure the atmosphere was wonderful and got an unforgettable party going. We also managed to see dolphins — from a distance, admittedly, but it was still an amazing experience. Thank you for a lovely day, I warmly recommend it.”
