What is this tour like?
Two dives on Sail Rock with Sail Rock Divers from Chaloklum on Koh Phangan's north coast, about an hour by boat from the site. ฿3,200 per person with gear, breakfast and lunch; groups of at most four certified divers per guide, back by 14:00.
You register and pick up your gear at the dive centre in Chaloklum at 7:15, and the boat leaves the pier at about 8:00. Sail Rock is the centre's main site; Koh Tao and the Ang Thong Marine Park are each about two and a half hours away, and a two-dive trip there costs ฿3,700. Back on Koh Phangan between 13:30 and 14:00.
The price covers a PADI professional guide, full scuba equipment and food and drinks on board. A ฿300 discount applies to PADI professionals, divers with their own BCD, regulator and wetsuit, and returning guests, one per person. Extras are priced separately: computer ฿300 a day, GoPro ฿900 a day, Nitrox ฿200 a tank, dive insurance ฿300 a day, a refresher ฿500 and a private guide ฿1,000.
