What is this tour like?
A snorkeller's place on The Dive Inn's dive boat to Sail Rock from Koh Phangan: a site briefing from the instructors, then you snorkel on your own while the divers are below. ฿1,700 with breakfast, lunch, drinks, gear and insurance; no snorkelling guide.
Sail Rock is first of all a dive site, so expect boat traffic and divers' bubbles rising around you. The instructors give a site orientation and an introduction to the marine life, the crew stays on the boat, and you can come back aboard whenever you like. You should be in reasonable shape and a decent swimmer.
The centre says plainly that it will not recommend Sail Rock for snorkelling unless it considers the conditions safe and enjoyable, and asks you to check with its staff first. A vegan meal costs ฿200 extra and must be requested when booking. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the trip.
