Great day spent fishing on one of the budget boats. The crew knew what to do and where to find fish. We had some slow patches, but that is what happens when trolling. Highlight of the day was the lunch they cooked on the boat — they used the fish we had caught that day and made sashimi, fish soup and fried fish. Awesome meal.

The price is for the hull, not the seat. Two of you or four, it is the same ฿15,900, and the per-person figure is arithmetic you do yourself rather than a number the operator quotes.
These are the operator's P-Series boats — six Prasert-built Thai fishing vessels between 42 and 48 feet, inspected and serviced on the slipway every year, with licensed captains and crews. They are functional rather than luxurious, and the operator says so on its own site: the crews are local people who grew up on these boats, some speak English well, most have enough to get by, and the office is on call all day if something needs translating.
The day runs from a 07:30 to 08:00 hotel pickup to a 17:00 return at Chalong pier. Trolling starts soon after departure — tuna, mackerel, mahi-mahi, barracuda, sailfish — then the boat anchors in a bay at 12:30 for lunch and a swim, and at 13:30 moves to a bottom-fishing spot for grouper and snapper on rod and reel.
If you want Racha Noi instead, it is ฿4,000 more for fuel. Mask and snorkel sets rent for ฿100.
What are the highlights?
- The whole boat is yours — ฿15,900 covers up to four anglers, not one
- Two techniques in one day: trolling on the way out, bottom fishing after lunch
- 42- to 48-foot Prasert cruisers, slipped and serviced annually, licensed boats and captains
- Local captains and crews who grew up on these boats
- Lunch cooked on board and a swim stop in a quiet bay

“I enjoyed a great day on the water. Well organised, from hotel pickup to drop-off. The fish we caught were cooked on the boat for our lunch. We moored at an island for lunch with time allowed for a cooling swim. The skipper and his team were very helpful. I would definitely do this trip again.”
“Great trip. We booked for two days and caught a lot of tuna through trolling. We also had a good haul of grouper with bottom fishing, and jigging yielded some excellent catches as well. I would particularly highlight that the top anglers were two twelve-year-olds.”
