Phuket Night Fishing Charter — Private Boat, 18:00 to Midnight
Bottom fishing and jigging by lamplight between Coral Island and Racha Yai, on the operator's own 17-metre boat Big Tuna. ฿18,000 for the whole boat, up to eleven guests, from 18:00 to midnight. Gear, bait, ice, insurance, dinner and soft drinks are included, and the crew prepare sashimi from what you catch.
Phuket, Thailand · 6h · up to 11 guests · ฿18,000 per boat, not per person · EN · RU
After seeing all the big fish caught by happy faces on their website I booked two separate days with them, one at Racha Yai and one at Racha Noi. They did not disappoint. Fishing is seasonal and luck, but the experienced crew knew where to put us on the spots. The first day out it was only two of us with the captain and he did everything, including cooking our catch.
What is this tour like?
Bottom fishing and jigging by lamplight between Coral Island and Racha Yai, on the operator's own 17-metre boat Big Tuna. ฿18,000 for the whole boat, up to eleven guests, from 18:00 to midnight. Fishing boats on Phuket almost always leave in the morning. This one leaves as the day boats are coming back, which is the point: the water between Coral Island and Racha Yai is empty by then, the heat has gone, and the fish that feed after dark — barracuda, wahoo, grouper and squid — are the ones you are after.
There is no trolling here. The night is spent on bottom fishing and jigging, which is close, patient work rather than a chase, and it suits a small group with the deck to themselves.
The boat is the operator's own: Big Tuna, seventeen metres, with a closed cabin, a flybridge and a sundeck, a freshwater shower and a clean toilet, seating up to eleven guests. It is slipped and maintained annually, and each guest is insured.
The price is for the boat. Two of you or eleven, it is ฿18,000, and the crew clean and fillet what you land — you take the catch home, and part of it becomes sashimi before you get there.
One practical gap to know about: the operator does not publish which pier the boat leaves from. We confirm the departure point with them in writing when you book.
What are the highlights?
- A night trip, not a day one — the boat leaves at 18:00 and returns at midnight
- Bottom fishing and jigging between Coral Island and Racha Yai
- The operator's own boat, Big Tuna, 17 metres, up to eleven guests
- Sashimi prepared on board from your own catch
- Booked directly with the owner — the operator states it works without agents

- 18:00Departure
The boat leaves as the day trips are coming back in. The pier is confirmed with the operator at booking — it is not published on the site.
- —First drift, bottom fishing
Between Coral Island and Racha Yai, over the marks the crew work at night.
- —Dinner on board
Dinner, fruit and soft drinks are in the price; sashimi is cut from whatever has come aboard. The operator publishes the start and end of the trip but no hour-by-hour running order, so the sequence below is the shape of the night rather than a timetable.
- —Jigging
Barracuda, wahoo, grouper and squid are the night's targets.
- 00:00Back at the pier
The trip ends at midnight. The catch is cleaned and filleted for you to take with you.

What should you know before you go?
Who runs this tour?
Where do we meet?
The operator does not publish a departure pier for this trip — the point of departure is confirmed in writing when you book. Its office is at 14/22 Soi Jaofa 49, Phuket, and asks for notice before a visit. The fishing itself is between Coral Island and Racha Yai, south of Phuket, not in Chalong Bay.
Exact meeting point shared after booking.

“It was an amazing day. Thank you so much to the crew for being so welcoming. We caught five tuna and they cooked them for us. The captain is really skilled, knowledgeable and friendly, the boat was clean and tidy, and they cooked in no time in a hygienic little kitchen. A true fishing experience driven with passion.”
“Very kind people on the boat. We took the all-inclusive boat trip and caught many fish as promised. The food the guys made was amazing — the soup especially. We caught tuna and they cooked it for us. A calm trip; the crew did their best to avoid storms and bad weather so we could fish in the sun. Whatever you catch, they throw back anything you cannot eat and leave you the rest to take home.”
