What is this tour like?
A first time underwater with the instructor alongside: two dives from a boat on the reefs of Bayahibe, not a hotel pool. Private hotel transfer and full XDEEP ZEOS kit included, from age 10. US$169 per person.
The difference from a resort taster is the setting: a boat dive with a certified guide staying beside you, rather than a shallow pool lap. For a first time underwater that is both more memorable and, with one instructor on you, no less controlled.
Minimum age is 10 for the dive; courses start at 12. Equipment is a full XDEEP ZEOS set, and the private transfer from your hotel is in the price rather than an extra.
If you decide to go further, the cost of this dive is credited towards a Scuba Diver or Open Water course booked during the same holiday. The centre also offers sidemount and twinset at US$25 for two dives, which is for divers already past this stage.
