What is this tour like?
Two boat dives off Cabeza de Toro with a PADI centre that works in English, Spanish and French. $135 per diver, transfer from the main Bávaro hotels included.
The centre sits on the Carretera Cabeza de Toro, between Bávaro and the Punta Cana marina, so the boat ride to the reefs is short. The $135 is the certified-diver rate for two tanks; bring your certification card.
Transfer is included for hotels in the main Bávaro area. Uvero Alto, Cap Cana and Punta Cana Resort are further out and carry a supplement — worth settling before you book if you are staying at either end of the coast.
Booking takes a deposit, with the balance paid on the day of the dive. If someone in your group is not certified, the same boat runs Discover Scuba Diving from $100 per person, so a mixed group does not have to split up.
What are the highlights?
- Two tanks in one outing, not a single dive stretched over a morning
- PADI instructors who work in English, Spanish and French
- Transfer included for the main Bávaro hotel area
- The centre also runs Discover Scuba from $100 if someone in the group is not certified
