Both boats leave at the same hour and fish the same water, so the choice is about the deck rather than the destination.
A shared deck or your own?
The shared trip fills up to ten anglers and is the cheaper way to spend a day offshore; the private charter caps at six and lets your group set the rhythm — when to move, how long to stay on a mark, when to call it a day.
Which is cheaper for our group?
It depends only on how many of you there are: on the shared trip the price per angler multiplies by heads, while the whole boat is a flat fee.
The private boat never becomes the cheaper option per head, and above six it gets more expensive again: from seven people the operator adds €120 to the trip.
What should you sort out before the trip?
The transfer is free from hotels in the south — name your hotel when you book and the operator sets the pickup time. Nobody guarantees a catch either: six hours offshore is six hours of fishing, and what comes over the side is between you and the Atlantic.
