Fishing off Ao Nang starts at ฿3,000 (about $83) per person — Krabi Exclusive Tours' evening squid trip on a shared boat: hotel pick-up at 16:00, the pier at 17:00, sunset on the water, squid under the lamps, sashimi on deck and back at 21:30.
Children of four to ten pay ฿2,000 (about $55) on that trip. Daytime fishing, by contrast, is sold by the boat. ฿7,500 takes a private boat for up to four anglers from 08:00 to 15:30, with hotel pick-up, tackle and bait, lunch on board, drinks, life jackets and insurance; a six-person boat is ฿10,000.

What separates the two fishing days off Ao Nang is the time of day and the unit of the price, not the tackle: both leave from Ao Nang pier and both come with rods, bait and a hotel transfer.
The day boat picks up at 08:00, is at the pier by 09:00, reaches the big-game mark at 10:00, breaks for lunch on board at noon, fishes again through the afternoon and is back at 15:30. The evening trip is the mirror image: pick-up at 16:00, sunset at 18:30, squid under the lamps from 19:00, sashimi on deck at 20:00 and the pier at 21:30.
Both trips include the hotel pick-up and drop-off, good tackle with bait, drinking water, fruit, drinks and snacks, life jackets and insurance, with pick-up offered from Ao Nang, Klong Muang, Krabi Town and Krabi airport. What you bring yourself is spelled out: a change of clothes, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a sun hat and a waterproof pouch for your phone.

the Krabi coast faces straight into the Andaman Sea and takes the southwest monsoon head-on, so from May to October the water can turn rough, and the national park issues one-off warnings against going out on particular dates. Keep a spare day around a fishing booking in those months.
