The same word covers three different things here. Caleta de Fuste sells a buoyed loop inside a marina bay; Corralejo sells guided coastal runs with a stated route and distance, and a motorised board as well; the Jandía south sells a supervised session by the clock. Read the unit before the figure: the jet skis are priced per machine, the motorised board per person.
Bay circuit or open Atlantic?#
At Puerto Castillo the ride stays inside the sheltered bay on a marked circuit for twenty minutes, with staff watching. That is the calm option, and the trade-off is the thing critics name: the loop is short. Out of Corralejo the PowerSafari covers about thirty kilometres of open coast in forty minutes, and the Lobos tour about fifty in ninety.
How old do you have to be, and do you need a licence?#
No boating licence on any of them: the Corralejo tours are guided by an instructor on a separate machine, and Sunfun supervises its sessions throughout. Age is where they part. Puerto Castillo and Jetski Fuerteventura ask the driver to be 18 with valid ID; FuerteCharter sells the jet surf from 14; Sunfun takes drivers from 16, with a parent's authorisation between 16 and 18. A passenger on a Corralejo Double may be seven.
Where do you meet, and what happens if the wind gets up?#
There is no hotel pick-up in Corralejo — the operator says so directly. The base is on Avenida Marítima in the harbour, in front of Bar La Lonja by the white CORRALEJO sign; allow twenty minutes before a PowerSafari slot and thirty before the Lobos tour. Sunfun offers transport along the Morro Jable — Esquinzo — Costa Calma strip from three jet skis booked, and agrees the departure time by phone.
Jetski Fuerteventura decides on the morning of the tour and contacts you directly: if the Atlantic does not allow safe navigation, the ride is rescheduled at no cost or refunded in full, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before. Sunfun states that the activity depends on favourable weather, and that a cancelled outing is rebooked for the next available date or, failing that, refunded.
What is worth checking before you book?#
- High season fills up: Jetski Fuerteventura asks for three to five days' notice in July, August and September and in the Easter and Christmas weeks, while off season same-day places are often available.
- Going ashore on Lobos: the ninety-minute tour circles the islet, the operator describes stops in the water only and does not discuss the free Cabildo visitor permit on its pages, so ask directly if a walk on the island matters to you.
- Weight on a Double: there is no strict maximum, but if both riders are over 100 kg the operator asks you to make contact before booking so the right machine is assigned.
- Swimming: a life jacket is always worn, and the operator still asks that you be comfortable enough in open water to stay calm and afloat until the guide reaches you.
- What the fare leaves out: photos and video are sold separately in Corralejo, and Sunfun states that lunch is not included.
Important
Check what the price counts. Every jet ski here is priced per machine, so two people ride for the same money: Puerto Castillo prints €68 for one or two, Sunfun the same €80 for one rider or two, and where Jetski Fuerteventura splits Single and Double — €85 against €100, €145 against €160 — both figures still cover the machine. The jet surf is the exception: €59 is per person, because only one rider fits on the board.
