Two different ideas of a private boat share this category. One is a sailing yacht with its skipper and an itinerary agreed on the day, hired by the hour from two upwards. The other is a catamaran day with the food, the drinks and the snorkelling kit already inside the price. Both are sold by the boat.
How long is the hire, and what does it come to per person?#
That depends only on how many of you there are. The catamaran's €520 is €52 each at ten, €130 at four and €173 at three; the operator adds its own comparison, that at eight adults the shared seats add up to exactly €520.
Lobos in Catamaran sells one length only, four hours, morning or afternoon, and FuerteCharter's private sunset is two and a half.
What is included, and what do you bring yourself?#
This is the sharpest difference between the two. The catamaran carries a Canarian lunch cooked that day — papas arrugadas con mojo, Spanish omelette and a fresh fruit salad — with soft drinks, water, beer, sangria and Spanish wine, plus wetsuits and masks for ten and four paddleboards.
Can you go ashore on Isla de Lobos?#
Not on one of the two. Lobos in Catamaran describes anchoring in front of the islet and says nothing about landing. FuerteCharter is the exception: it offers a water taxi ashore as a €60 extra on the twelve-guest sunset. Either way it is the free named Cabildo permit that governs stepping ashore, so agree it before you book.
What is worth checking before you book?#
- Pick-up: the catamaran collects within the Corralejo area only, on request, and for up to seven passengers, so a group of ten makes its own way to Muelle de Corralejo.
- The catamaran's four hours come in two fixed slots, 10:00 to 14:00 and 14:15 to 18:15, and the charter does not extend them.
Important
Every price here is for the boat, not for the seat. €500 and €800 buy a FuerteCharter sunset catamaran to its stated capacity; €520 buys the whole Lobos catamaran against a maximum of ten. What the head count changes is only what each of you ends up contributing.
