6 options for boat & catamaran tours in Tenerife — real operator prices, routes and guest reviews, all in one place.
A whale-and-dolphin trip off south-west Tenerife runs from €28 to €62 per person. The cheapest is the two-hour Masca Express from Los Gigantes; the most complete is the 4.5-hour Freebird One cruise.
Every fare is per person with taxes in; children pay less on all six.

It was a fantastic trip, we are happy to have chosen the boat “rapido” for 12 people only. Our captain Luca was great
We went on the rapid small boat it was awesome… Lucas our driver/guide was fantastic
The lady in the booth explained everything to us and mentioned that there is no guarantee of seeing the animals due to the weather
All six departures leave from the same stretch of coast, but from two harbours that give you two different days. Los Gigantes sits directly under the cliffs, so the scenery starts the moment you cast off; the three Flipper Uno boats go from there. Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje is inside the hotel belt, which is why the Freebird One fares are the ones with hotel transfers attached — from Los Gigantes you get yourself to the marina.
Pilot whales and dolphins are resident in this channel all year, so this is not a seasonal product. But an encounter is not a guarantee. Flipper Uno prints “sightings guaranteed (depending on sea conditions)” on its own page, and its ticket staff tell guests plainly that the weather can take the animals away. Neither of the two operators says what happens to your money when the captain cancels for sea conditions, so agree that before you pay.
The differences are mostly about what happens in the middle of the trip. Flipper Uno's three hours serve a paella with chicken, vegetables and fruit, plus red wine, beer, soft drinks and water for the whole excursion. Masca Express and Freebird's three hours stop to swim instead. The two-hour fares do neither — they are the short, cheap look at the animals.

Prices are the operators' own, taxes included; confirm the final figure when you book. On the Freebird fares the extras are named on the page: sunbeds €10 on the two-hour and €15 on the three-hour, each for two people and not pre-bookable, professional photos €10 and ice creams €3.
