Similan Islands Diving Day Trip from Phuket

Had an amazing diving experience with Sayeed. We did three dives and each one was incredible. He was extremely attentive throughout, always making sure we were comfortable and safe, and pointed out so many things underwater that we would have missed on our own.

Similan Islands Diving Day Trip from Phuket

I booked the advanced open water diver and had a great experience. Jon was a great instructor who gave good advice and took care of me at all times. Felt really safe. The dive sites were cool — I saw a sea turtle, reef sharks, multiple wrecks and lots of other stuff.

Similan Islands Diving Day Trip from Phuket

I just finished a three-day SSI training with Alex at Sunrise Divers and it was an amazing experience. He is a very experienced instructor and a friendly guy. If you want someone you can trust and feel safe and comfortable with, he is the guy.

FAQ

Can I join without a diving certificate?
No — this trip is two certified dives. For the Similans without a certificate you need a snorkelling day tour, which is a different boat; ask us and we will point you to one.
What does the day actually cost in total?
4,900 THB for the trip, plus 700 THB park fee in cash, plus equipment rental of 150–500 THB per item if you need it. There is nothing else.
When do the Similans open?
The national park runs from late October to early May and is closed the rest of the year for the reefs to recover. Dates for the opening days are already bookable.
Where does the boat leave from?
Thap Lamu pier at 08:30, north of Phuket. Transfers from Patong, Karon, Kata and south Khao Lak are included and start at 06:00.
What is the chance of seeing mantas?
Koh Bon, which the boat visits on Sundays and Wednesdays, is the site known for manta sightings. Nobody can promise an encounter — it is wildlife.
